Small Update on The Squeeze Page

Miscellaneous No Comments »

Not too much to report today except the designer got back to me with an eCard design for the squeeze page. The stuff is not essential but it sure looks good :)

This is as far as I can get…

OK, I’ve got as far as I can get for now without some outside support. Namely, the squeeze page completed (seriously, how long should it take a designer to do a squeeze page?!) and a decision on what products to offer on the one time offer and the upsell.

Once that’s all been sorted it’s just a case of setting up the various squeeze pages and taking the site live.

More work on the OTO page

Miscellaneous No Comments »

Today was a good day. Not a word document in site! Instead the more fun task of working on the HTML for the one time offer and upsell. I wanted to change it a bit to make the presentation of each product more professional.

The text still needs some attention though.

I also took 30 minutes to test the software and really understand how it works and the flow that my customers would go through. Here’s what I’m wondering…

1. User signs up on squeeze page

2. User is given a OTO (which goes to affiliate)

3. User pays for OTO comes back to the site and sees 2nd squeeze page (to get them on our Aweber account)

4. User then sees an upsell (which goes to us)

5. User pays for upsell and goes to download page

I’m wondering if step 3 is unnecessary or a bit too much. It gives me something to think about.

Final Day of Reworking!

Miscellaneous No Comments »

WOOO! Today was the final day (I think, and hope!) of re-working all the ebooks. 15 ebooks have now been branded and reworked with my name on it. It’s really crappy work which is why it’s taken so long - I can’t spend more than a few hours at a time doing it.

In an ideal world, a PLR ebook shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to rework. But since it’s not an ideal world and every ebook has different margin sizes, fonts, headers and you have to make everything fit together, convert it to PDF - and then realise you mistakenly left the old name in so have to convert it again…rinse and repeat.

So yeah, if you have to re-work your own PLR ebooks, it will take about 3 times longer than you plan for.

Something Different!

My monotamous task of re-working the ebooks was punctuated today by a shiney ball of light as my graphic designer sent over the latest version of the squeeze page…

Looks pretty good, huh? I’m well pleased with it. Just waiting for him to convert it to HTML now.

Finally My Designer Gets Back To Me

Miscellaneous No Comments »

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I got my designer on the case for creating a squeeze page. You probably haven’t noticed, but I’ve not given any updates on that, because, well, there wasn’t anything to say.

Anyway, the designer has finally got back to me with a first draft of the squeeze page design that I ordered. Check it out below…

LBP Squeeze Page Screenshot

It’s pretty good, bright, vibrant and will definitely catch a users attention - hopefully I can make the pageload times quite small though.

I’ve had to get the header height made much smaller though because on a standard 1024×768 screen resolution the headline appears about halfway down the page! I also asked for some work to be done on the orange guy, I wanted a more of a viral effect with people behind him.

Hope he doesn’t take another 3 weeks to get the revisions done!

A Bit More Of The Same

Miscellaneous No Comments »

Today was just a bit more of the same old. I created a template layout to use for re-working all the PLR products. Basically it consists of the first page of the report, the legal information, license registration, promotion of one of my other sites and a list of resources at the end and a few more promotions of my products.

By re-working all the PLR ebooks to include links to my sites, the viral effect is intensified as people pass around my ebook with my links in it. Hopefully it’s also an incentive for people to get the PLR to the products because then they can change all the links to their products and websites.

I will let people brand a few links in the reports with their own affiliate links, which lets them earn good money (especially if the referred user goes for the OTO!).

It just takes a fair amount of time to re-work the ebooks though.
